Professor Kassamali’s current book project, Black Beirut, is an ethnography of African and Asian migrant labour in Lebanon. Her research and teaching focus on migration as it transforms labour, gender, and religion between East Africa, South Asia and the Middle East.
Join us for a conversation with Professor Kassamali about how she approaches research on domestic labour and urban life in Beirut.
