Sophia is a theologian whose community-based research centers on Christianity in the African diaspora, focusing on mobility and contemporary social issues. Her Ph.D. research, grounded in Religion, Identities, and Movements studies, investigates the intersection between global African Pentecostalism and migration. She holds her degree in Intercultural Theology from the University of Salzburg in Austria and is currently a Visiting Junior Fellow at the Centre for Diaspora and Transnational Studies.
