Displayed here is DTS student, Karen Maktabi featuring her class project that she prepared for DTS200: Introduction to Diaspora and Transnational Studies. It’s a performance of “Li Beirut”. "Li Beirut" is a song that was sung by Lebanese Icon 'Fairuz' in the 80's during the Lebanese Civil War. The song speaks of issues related to diaspora, displacement and healing.
